How does shared context work?

Every participant writes into the same conversation thread. The AI model receives the full context from all contributors, so its responses are informed by everything the room has discussed - not just one person's fragment.

What AI models can I use?

Duet supports Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and any model available through OpenRouter. You can bring your own API key and switch models during a session without losing context.

Is my data private and secure?

All transport is encrypted via TLS. Business sessions are private by default with persistent history. Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, audit logs, and data residency options. We never train on your data.

Can I self-host Duet?

Yes. The core platform is open source under MIT license. Clone the repo, run docker compose up, and you have a fully functional instance. Cloud adds managed auth, billing, and enterprise features on top.

How many people can join a room?

There is no hard limit. Rooms are designed for team-sized groups - typically 2-10 people work best for productive collaborative sessions. Enterprise plans support larger groups with dedicated infrastructure.

What happens when I hit the free tier limit?

Free tier includes 50 credits per month. When you run out, your current session completes in full - we never cut you off mid-conversation. You can top up with a credit pack or wait for your monthly reset to start a new session.
